About ECPJS.

Established in 2017

ECPJS is a collaboration of individuals and organizations working to advance social justice through advocacy focused on the rights and interests of criminalized and imprisoned people.

Our Goal

To be a hub for prison justice advocacy on the East Coast. To work together to raise awareness of issues affecting criminalized and incarcerated people and to facilitate change through research and scholarship, public campaigns, legal support, education and sustainable grassroots services. To bring attention to the socio-economic, political and institutional inequalities impacting marginalized people and communities in Nova Scotia and the Atlantic Region.
